Hello, my name is Danny Barinshtein and I am a creative web designer.

Originially from Whitehorse, Yukon - Canada's great white north, home to the midnight sun, and aurora borealis phenomenon.

I followed my heart to Vancouver and graduated from BCIT with a Senior Management Certificate in New Media Design & Web Development. My passion lies in making the web more engaging day by day, specializing in Responsive, Interactive, and User focused Design and Development.

I am a hard working team player that values work culture and personal space. Bringing 3 years of experience, the confidence, and drive to learn new and exciting technologies I believe that I am a valuable asset to any team, be it a start-up or a corporate giant.


Danik Front-End Freelancing Oct. 2013 - Present

Ever since I set my vision on Web Design back in 2013 I have been working on multiple personal projects for local and international clients. Projects include but not limited to Web Design, Web Development, UI/UX, Web Marketing, Graphic Design, API integration, debugging.

This is where I get the most opportunity to express my creative freedom and try new and exciting things. Experimenting with various animations, and new technologies.

ClickersOnline Aug. 2016 - Jan. 2017

The Clickers are experts in the world of custom development and API integration. They place high value on perfect product roll out and an even higher value on customer relations.

As a Web Designer for Clickers my main duties were:

  1. Designing user friendly websites.
  2. Development of custom websites.
  3. API integration.
  4. Maintenance and support of existing websites for large traffic websites.
  5. Debugging and product rollout, cross browser support.
  6. Input and creative freedom on design and development.

ClickersOnline had the perfect environment with a mixture of self learning and mentorship allowing me to grow as designer with increased exposure to large traffic websites utilizing both front and back end technologies.

Dreamstalk Studios Jan. 2015 - Feb. 2016

Dreamstalk (presently PathFive) provides a cloud-based platform designed for education and local government. It allows them to work as a community to deploy beautifully designed, easy to use and powerful applications.

As a Web Designer for Clickers my main duties were:

  1. Design website templates.
  2. Development of new websites.
  3. Redevelopment and repairs or previously existing websites.
  4. Tech & support.
  5. Input on software development.

With new and challenging projects I had increased my design knowledge during my time with Dreamstalk. Learning how to best optimise technologies and user experience.

Sidhu Trucking May 2013 - Sept. 2013

Working for Sidhu I was a labourer located in a remote camp several hours away from civilization, digging trenches and laying water pipe systems. Hard work but with many benefits.

My duties involved but were not limited to:

  1. Assisting pipe layers.
  2. Road construction.
  3. Site cleanup.

From this job I gained important time management skills and sharp awareness making me quick to think and react. With hard work comes great responsibility, being autonomous and a team player were crucial to success in this field.

Builder's Supplyland Jun. 2009 - May 2013

This smalltown construction supply store is a hidden gem in Whitehorse, Yukon. Being a simple sales associate here taught me more than I could have hoped for.

My role included:

  1. Costumer service.
  2. Cash handling.
  3. Yard work.
  4. Paint mixing.

Through my years of working here I learned to understand people better and figure out the best approach to deal with situations. Working with paint mixing gave me important colour theory skills and applications which translate to my web work even today.
